This is a story we made up together, the five year old, the three year old, and me. This is a super fun activity, great for getting the creative juices flowing. We went around in a circle and each came up with a sentence in turns. Here is our story:
The Forgettery Frog
One day there was a frog playing outside, he washed his hands in the sink. But when he went outside he forgot to turn the sink off and it was running all day. He tried to turn the water off, but he couldn't now, the faucet was stuck! He tried to open the door, but it was locked -he had forgotten the key! He thought he was turning off the sink, but it was really the door and he hadn't known it. Then he went vacationing to the beach one day and he splashed in the water. He was going to leave for home in the evening, but he forgot! And he was playing and splashing all night. When he finally got home he opened the door and found an ocean in his house! But he didn't care, because he liked to splash and swim every day. And Forgettery Frog was very happy.
